Privacy Policy

Effective Date: 2026-05-13

This Policy explains what information ResetRun processes, for what purposes, where it is stored, how long it is kept, and how you can control it. Your core data is saved only on your device by default.

1. Types of Information We Process

When you use this App, we process on your device the information you actively provide or that is generated during use, including but not limited to profile information such as nickname, as well as record information such as run start time, duration, distance, pace, cadence, track points, calorie estimates, recovery snapshots, and import/export files. Body data such as birthday, gender, height, and weight is not collected by default; you may decide whether to provide it. If not provided, the App will use built-in generic defaults for exercise metric calculations, and the default values will not be written to your profile or exported files.

The processing of the above information is limited to enabling run recording, record display, run recovery, and import/export capabilities in the current version. The current version does not provide an account system, so there is no server-side account data aggregation.

2. Purposes of Information Processing

We process the above information primarily to achieve the following purposes:

The current version does not use the above information for ad profiling, marketing push, personalized recommendations, online social networking, or leaderboard services.

3. Device Permissions Usage

To enable run recording and related features, this App may request the following system permissions. All permissions are used only after your authorization, and you may revoke them at any time in system settings.

Permission Purpose Scenario Revocable
Location Record running route, calculate distance and pace; background location is used to keep run recording complete Outdoor running Yes, but outdoor running will not be able to record route or distance
Motion & Fitness Read step count, cadence, and other motion sensor data for real-time display and post-run statistics All run types Yes; cadence and stride length metrics will be unavailable
Background Audio Provide voice announcements and metronome during running During running (background) Yes; voice/metronome will be unavailable
File Access Read and write .rrr, .gpx, .fit, and .csv files when you actively import/export During import/export operations Only prompted when you perform these actions
System Map Service Load map tiles, roads, POIs, and other layers to display running routes In-run map, route detail map Triggered automatically on map pages; network requests are initiated by system components

Map-related network requests are initiated by the iOS system MapKit / Apple Maps component in accordance with Apple Maps service mechanisms. ResetRun does not use this to upload your personal profile, run records, or import/export files to the developer's servers.

4. Information Storage Location and Method

Your profile, run records, recovery snapshots, and their associated data are saved locally on your device by default. The current version does not provide an account system, cloud sync, or server-side user profile storage, nor will it actively upload the above data to the developer's servers.

The current version does not integrate third-party ad SDKs for advertising tracking purposes, and will not build advertising profiles based on your run records or profile information.

5. Information Retention Period and Deletion

The profile information you provide within the App, as well as the run records and recovery snapshots generated, will be retained on your device locally until you modify, delete, overwrite them, or uninstall this App.

Files you actively export will be saved in the location you choose and are no longer automatically managed by the App's sandbox deletion policy; for these files, you should decide the retention period, backup method, and deletion timing on your own.

If you wish to stop this App from further processing of the relevant information, you may delete local records, delete exported files, uninstall this App, and disable Location, Motion & Fitness, and other related permissions in system settings.

6. Information Import and Export

You may actively import local .rrr backup files and .fit activity files, and export records as .rrr backup files, .gpx track files, .fit full activity data files, or .csv statistics files. All of the above processing is triggered by you manually.

For imported files, please verify the source and content safety on your own; for exported files, please store them properly and be aware of distribution risks. The developer cannot control your copying, forwarding, or public disclosure of exported files outside of the App.

7. Third-Party Sharing and External Disclosure

The current version does not share your basic profile and run records with third-party advertising platforms, data brokers, or the developer's own servers.

However, when you use features involving map display, the system MapKit / Apple Maps component may, in order to load map tiles, roads, POIs, and data within the map viewport, connect via network to Apple Maps services and their map service partners in mainland China. Such map service requests are initiated by the system map component, and ResetRun does not use this to upload your basic profile, complete run records, import/export files, or advertising tracking data to the developer's servers.

Unless required by laws and regulations, judicial authorities, or competent regulatory bodies in accordance with the law, or where necessary to fulfill statutory obligations, the current version does not have routine business scenarios for disclosing the above information externally.

8. Your Control Rights

You may manage the relevant information and authorizations through the following means:

When the legal document version is updated, the App will prompt you again during the launch phase to read and confirm the latest version.

9. Minors

If you are a minor, it is recommended that you read and decide whether to use this App under the guidance of a guardian. Guardians should help you understand the risks of running, the significance of permission authorization, and the information processing methods described in this Policy.

This Policy shall take effect from the date of publication.
